At the moment Activy does not yet have a direct connection with FitBit. But if you use these devices then you still have the option to upload steps to Activy π
For iPhone users
If you are using iPhones then connect Activy to the Apple Health app, to which you connect the step transfer from FitBit.
It's very simple:
- Open the Health app on your iPhone.
- Tap on your profile picture in the upper top corner of the screen.
- Select "Apps and Services".
- Select Fitbit.
- Turn on βStepsβ
In some versions of the Fitbit app, it will not be possible to connect directly to Apple Health. In that case, use a third-party app. We recommend one of the following:
For Android users:
The primary source of steps for Activa will be the Google FIT app, which you may already have installed on your phone or you can download it here. You can read more about connecting Activy with Google FIT in our article (but I'm sure you can handle it on your own, it's very easy).
Now we need to connect FitBit so that it sends steps to Google FIT.
Despite Google's recent purchase of the company, there is no obvious way to sync Fitbit data with Google Fit with a single click.
However, it is possible with an additional app from Google - Health Connect. Health Connect is Google's official platform for storing and syncing health tracking data across multiple supported services, including Fitbit and Google Fit.
(I) Before you start the integration process, install the Health Connect app.
(II) Connect Google Fit with Health Connect.
- Open the Google Fit. app.
- Click on your profile and then on "Settings", find "Health Connect" and click "Sync Fit with Health Connect".
(III) Connect FitBit with Health Connect:
- Open the Fitbit app on your phone.
- Tap phone and watch icon visible in the top left corner.
- Select βSet up Health Connectβ option.
- Go through the connection process.
- Select what Fitbit can send to other apps and tap βAllowβ.
Uff! It was a bit of struggle with this, but from now on, your steps should connect to Activy π
