You can kill two birds with one stone by recording your activities in the app you use daily and then transferring them to Activy.
Here's a simple guide on how to connect the apps:
- Go to Settings (gear icon on the main screen)
- Select “Integrations”
- In the ‘Available Integrations’ panel, choose the Garmin app
- Click the blue button labeled ‘Connect to Garmin Connect’
- If necessary, sign in to your Garmin account
- Then on the visible screen make sure, that both ‘Activities’ and ‘Daily Health Stats’ (synchronizing steps) are checked
Once connected, you will see a green “connected” label next to the app – both in the ‘Available Integrations’ section at the top of the screen and in the ‘Steps synchronization’ section.
Voilà! Now your activities will automatically sync whenever you upload them from your watch to the Garmin app!
Step Upload
If you connect Garmin to import activities, they will also be used to read step data for Activy.
You do not need to synchronize the application twice.
However, remember to mark the consent 'Daily Health Stats' during the application connection. It sounds very advanced, but it only transfers steps to Activy 😉
We do not recommend connecting more than one application
Doing so won't bring any benefits, as activities will be marked as "duplicated". Additionally, using Activy may cause problems.
What if steps are not transferred from Garmin to my account?
If all activities except steps are transferred from Garmin to Activy, it means that the consent 'Daily Health Stats' was not selected. There's a very simple way to solve this problem!
Here are the instructions:
- Open the Garmin application
- Click 'More' in the bottom right corner
- Go to 'Settings', then 'Connected Apps'
- Find Activy on the list, click it, and on the next screen, enable the 'Daily Health Stats' consent as shown below
From now on, steps should be seamlessly transferred from Garmin Connect to your account in Activy!
