We want you to enjoy the fun to the fullest! That's why we've decided to share with you some tips on adding images to your manually entered activities.
We're playing online, so we don't have coaches who would keep an eye on every move you make. Our way of confirming that an exercise has been performed is through a photo. That is why we want it to reflect as accurately as possible the nature of the activity that has been performed.
We know that sometimes taking a photo during an exercise can be as difficult as standing on your head. But trust us, it's not that scary at all! Just like a cyclist with a GPS turning on the app, you turn on the camera and take a picture with only one click.
When you upload the photo, Activy will automatically collect some useful information from your phone - such as the date, time and location where the photo has been taken. This will allow us to avoid the paradox of 'open water swimming' while being in the flat and many other creative mistakes.
Together, we will create a photo gallery full of joy, achievement and a sense of community. Therefore, don't be afraid to show us your sporting conquests πͺ.
Which photos are not accepted = not included in the challenge:
- a photo downloaded from the internet
- a photo that has been featured by another user
- a black background or a black blob where you can see nothing
- the same photo for several activities (if you were at squash on 11.07 it is great, but if you were there again on 12.07 then add a new photo, remember we can see the date of the photo that has been taken)
- if you don't carry your phone during an activity, take a photo of the facility or when you enter and leave it (e.g. pool or training room) - remember, we can see where the photo was taken, it's a bit like a GPS track while recording a bike)
Good practice:
- if you have the option ask another person to take the photo, you don't have to show your face, it can be part of your silhouette
- if you don't have someone to take your photo, put your phone against the wall and turn on the auto-timer
- if you often do the same exercise, try to upload photos from different perspectives so they don't look the same (our algorithm can detect them as duplicates)
