You can track your steps in Activy using your Xiaomi fitness band. You cannot connect your device directly to Activy, but you can use the Google Fit app for Android phones or the Apple Health app for iPhones to help.
Connecting Xiaomi via Google Fit
The dedicated app for Xiaomi bands is Zepp Life. You can connect your Zepp Life account to your Google account in Google Fit. And then connect Google Fit to Activy.
Connect Zepp Life to Google Fit:
If you don't have the Google Fit app installed, please do so before following the steps below. You can download the Google Fit app from the Play Store HERE. After installation, connect your Google account in the app.
- Open the Zepp Life app and select "Profile" from the bottom menu.
- Then select "Add accounts" and on the next screen, choose "Google Fit".
- The app will ask for authorization for the Google account you use in Google Fit. If you have more than two Google accounts, make sure to select the one that is visible in the Google Fit app.
Connecting Xiaomi via Apple Health
You can connect Zepp Life to Apple Health in a very similar way as to Google Fit.
- Open the Zepp Life app and select "Profile" from the bottom menu.
- Then select "Add accounts" and on the next screen, choose "Health".
- Grant Zepp Life app access to all data and click 'Allow’
- Finally, you should see a screen with instructions on how to grant access to your data from within Apple Health. However, if you followed our instructions, you don't need to change anything 😉
Will Activy synch data from Zepp Life in real-time?
Steps are transferred to Activy every time you open the app. The app receives data from the last 3 days.
To ensure that steps are synchronized, click the refresh icon on the main screen. Remember to regularly synchronize steps from your watch via Bluetooth connection to your phone.
Remember also, that Activy synchronizes steps from Google Fit not directly from Zepp Life. If there’s a difference in steps made between Zepp Life and Activy, check if the difference isn’t visible between Google FIT and Zepp Life.
When you open the Activy app, only steps from the last 3 days - the current day and the previous two days - are synchronized. Therefore, it is worth checking the challenge in the app regularly. If you have not opened Activy for 4 days, steps for the fourth day will not be transferred. This allows for real-time tracking of rankings and prevents situations where users suddenly integrate steps for the last 30 days.
